DescriptionThis is an inkjet printLabel TextRobert (Bob) Lerner American, b. 1926 Vietnam Veterans Protest March, Washington, DC, 1971 Inkjet print While working as a staff photographer for Look magazine from 1951 to 1971, Bob Lerner documented protests against the Vietnam War held in Washington D.C. In this photograph, a mixed group of young men stand around the American flag, gazing into the distance. Though the flag is only partially visible, the stars section was manipulated to depict the peace sign. When looking at this image, can you think of moments when you objected to a major social, political, and/or economic event? What approaches did you use to challenge it?
