DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. A sepia toned photograph with a large, two-toned brick building with three chimneys. It is possibly a jail since there are bars on the windows and men standing guard near the door. Near the entrance is a wooden construction for a walkway cover. There is a low bench near the door where one man sits; the rest of the men pictured are standing. Across from the entrance there is a wooden construction for tying up a horse and steps to re-mount into the saddle. There are a couple of trees nearby. There are also five windows that are arched and shaped into half moons. In addition, there are rain gutters running down both sides of the building. This is from _Gardner's Photographic Sketchbook of the War_ (Hack Collection No. 2].
