The following week the president traveled to Pennsylvania to dedicate a new cemetery for the Union soldiers killed in the Battle of Gettysburg. Gardner followed and was in the audience with his camera when Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address. Gift of David L. Hack and Museum purchase, with funds from Walter P.
