DescriptionThis is a covered goblet of blown colorless glass. It is cut and engraved with conical bowl on fluted baluster, and domed cover with hexagonal finial. The engraving depicts two scenes from the life of Jacob. Jacob is shown sleeping with his head on a stone - his dream of a ladder with angels ascending to and descending from Heaven is shown to his right (as described in Genesis 28: 10-12). On the other side of the glass Jacob wrestles with a winged figure that touches his thigh (as described in Genesis 32:24-32).There are no works to discover for this record.
