DescriptionThis easy chair frame is made of mahogany, poplar and yellow pine. The two front legs are slightly tapered and the two in the rear raking backward. The upholstered portion of the chair frame is fashioned primarily of tulip poplar with a serpentine crest, slightly ogee-shaped wings, and receding arms that scroll outward at the elbow; the lower horizontal rail of the back is made of yellow pine. The seat rails have open diagonal corner braces of a type frequently seen on chairs upholstered over the rail.
