DescriptionThe intricate, layered collage Mr. Chrysler references Walter P. Chrysler, Jr. and the family dynasty that ruled New York during the twentieth century. He sits back comfortably from a position of power. The multi-colored, geometric background is composed from found paper collected by the artist. Chrysler and the family dynasty that ruled New York during the 20th century. The silhouetted figure sits back comfortably from a position of power while the brilliant, geometric background pushes forward, creating an edgy tension between surface and subject.
