DescriptionA man holding a rifle stands at the top of a mountain pass. Behind him are more mountains. This print comes from a negative produced during one of the federal land survey expeditions in which Jackson participated. The print depicts Berthoud Pass, originally part of a wagon trail through the Rocky Mountains (now part of US Highway 40). Pictured is Harry Yount, first game warden of Yellowstone National Park and perennial member of the Hayden expeditions during the 1870s.
