DescriptionFooted vessel for sweetmeats of clear blown glass. Base rim facet cut and the bottom cut with a ring of alternating bullseyes and lines. The short stem faceted. The bottom of the bowl is panel cut and the gilded rim is irregularly shaped by two fans and a projection. Body is engraved with four medallions, each depicting a noble human trait with a German saying. The cartouches are separated by eagles and small wildlife scenes, bordered on the bottom by engraved drapery design and bordered on top with scrollwork. Engraved on the projection are five peacock feathers.ca. 1800
