DescriptionNative American, Teton Lakota (probably Oglala). Woman's dress, tanned buckskin, the yoke an dsleeves dyed yellow and embroidered with cowrie shells. Yoke, sleeves, neckline and hem trimmed with straight and wavy bands of beading in geometric shapes in red, green and blue beads on a white bead ground. Hem is also dyed yellow. Dress is fringed at shoulders, sleeves, down sides, and acress hem with narrow self-fringe and long tassels trimmed with beads and red mescal seeds are scattered across body.
