DescriptionLate Chimu Indian pot from the Northern coast of Peru. Native figure in black representing a crude conventionalized skeleton with backbone, arms, legs & many, many ribs. The face has high cheek bones, a large open mouth, a broad square nose, and the head is crowned by a flared opening. Excellent condition, many cracks on bottom which have been mended with glue.
