DescriptionBOWL: pressed colorless glass with acid-etched ground, sides have frieze of putti, six of which drive chariots drawn by various animals including house cats and even a butterfly. The charioteers alternate with six pairs of putti, some of wihch play musical instruments and others carry wreaths and garlands. The bottom has eight flowering trees radiating from a central gadrooned medallion and a glass peg projects downward from the center. STAND: silver-plated nickel silver, four-footed with two handles. Overall form is classical and so are some of the decorative details, but most of the decoration is Japanesque--there is a nine-panel fireze featuring motifs such as storks, bamboo, and Japanese figures.Mt.
