DescriptionReichsadlerhumpen of clear light green glass. Cylindrical. Slightly incurved near rim and with a "kick" in the base. Enameled in blue, gray, yellow, rust, black and green below top bands of pale blue dots and bands of rust, yellow and blue. With the Hapsburg Holy Roman Empire crowned double headed eagle and the center of it orb of office. Spread wings covered with 56 shields. The top row includes the 7 electors and the Apostolic Sea arranged vertically in rows of four. Reverse is a green wreath enclosing "IVW 1679" and "Dasheilige Romische Reich, mit Sampt seinen gliedern" (The Holy Roman Empire with all its parts). Metal (probably lead or pewter) mend around foot ring. Probably 18th or early 19th century. Liquid capacity about 3.5 quarts. Rough pontil.
