DescriptionTall narrow vase is cylindrical except for slight indentation at top below rim. Rim itself slightly flared. Design in blue consists of figures in a landscape; a man flanked by two attendants holding square fans is addressed by a man holding a scroll. A garden scene surrounds them with vistas of three tall rectangular mountains rising from the mist below a circular moon. Opposite side of vase has design of rocks and swirling water. Ground is depicted in groups of tiny "u" shapes. Pointed leaves encircle mouth, points up, below them is a narrow band of an hua (secret) decoration containing zig-zag lines; seen also just above foot.
