DescriptionCream pitcher in "Opera" pattern, commonly called Actress. Pressed colorless glass with female bust profile on one side marked "FANNY DAVENPORT" and a 3/4 view female bust on the other side marked "MISS NEILSON". Spoon-like shell decoration on the spout. Both actresses were noted for Shakespearean roles. Fanny Davenport (1850-1898); Lillian Adelaide Neilson (1848-1880) died suddenly.
