DescriptionTall beaker engraved with interlaced strapwork enclosing scrolled foliage with depending clusters of leaves and flowers. Derived from Dutch prototypes. Flaring at the lip and a narrow border of decoration around the base which is applied.

Label TextEnglish, London Beaker, 1618-19 Silver Gift of Walter P. Chrysler, Jr. 78.76 Although simple in form, this beaker is elaborately decorated with engraved scrollwork and foliage.
