DescriptionHorloges de cheminee. Oblong plinth raised on four feet in the form of French helmets. The stepped plinth is decorated with a band of acanthus leaves and a scene of Prince Eugene de Beauharnais leaning on his mother's (Josephine) tomb stone while his aide de comp Gen. Gifflinga waits. Two wreaths on either side are inscribed: "Honneur et Patrie et piete filial". Plinth is surmounted by a figure of Prince de Beauharnais holding a gun and standing by a connor (clock face set in the wheel), flag, armor and other military equipment. Clock face is of gilt bronze and spokes of wheel are in the form of torches and arrows.
