Label TextThe Leache-Wood Seminary, Freemason Street, Norfolk, ca. 1904 American Possibly published by Harry Cowles Mann, ca. 1909–24 Gelatin silver print (photograph) This photograph shows the extension behind the Leache-Wood Seminary. Facing Freemason Street, it was built in 1880 to accommodate school’s growing classroom needs. By the time this photograph was taken, the building was likely no longer in use and soon would be demolished. Though this image has no signature, labeling styles and its printing quality link it to other historic photographs republished by Mann’s studio. Museum collection 0.892
