DescriptionYue ware. Small ewer in shape of crouching feline; chest flat (from base of small turned jar which forms body); tail loops over back to form handle, round spout in place of a head. Body underneath burnt red brown where exposed. Clay rather coarse, grey and speckled. Celadon-like glaze.
