DescriptionLarge Ci-Zhou type jar. Large bulbous jar has wide mouth, everted lip. Thick brown-black glaze covering all but one inch above foot where buff body is exposed. Shoulders have irregular splotches of red-brown glaze falling over them, bottom flat, unglazed. Interior also brown-black with one or two red-brown splotches. Exterior has somewhat of an orange peel type glaze. One repaired 1.25" chip from lip; two smaller chips.
