DescriptionThis is a blown glass urn with blue, red, black and gray irregular splotches. It is a squat rounded form with a horse hair acting as a rope clasp in a zigzag pattern. The zigzag is created by alternating black glass knobs on the lid and urn body; each knob is approximately two inches apart.Label TextWilliam Morris American (b. 1957) Cinerary Urns, 2002 Blown glass, horse hair, fiber Gift of the Mowbray Arch Society, 2002 2002.23.1 ProvenanceThe artist, 2002; Gift of the Mowbray Arch Society to the Chrysler Museum of Art, December 2002.
