DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This image is of many soldiers standing prepared, along with a quantity of cannons. They are standing in a grassy area with dirt pathways. Four cannons are set up in the rear and cannon balls are stacked into pyramids. Two cannons are positioned farther forward while two men hold the packing tool. Other men are grouped together standing near the cannon balls or standing with their swords. There is one main tree in the back center of the photo and in the very distant background there are sloping hills and trees. This is from _Gardner's Photographic Sketchbook of the War_ (Hack Collection No. 2].
