DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This is a sepia toned photograph with a large building in the center of the picture. There is a dirt path in front of the home, firewood off to the left side, and stairs leading up to the door. On the porch sits John Burns It reads below "The Residence of John Burns: Now familiarly known as the hero of Gettysburg; a title won by his heroic conduct upon this memorable battle-field.
