DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This sepia toned photograph contains a scene near the water's edge. There are two wagons in the foreground with horses; one wagon is labeled U.S. Mail. There are horses in the shallow parts of the water with men on some of their backs. Off to the right is an encampment of soldiers' tents. In the distance there are trees. The scene expands to the left with a pier and out on the water are a few boats.
