DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. A sepia toned image of a bay or river. There is a dark mass of trees in the foreground curving around the shore. Also close to the water's edge are many tents for soldiers and tents that look cone shaped like a teepee. There is a line of covered wagons heading toward a pier jutting out from the land into the water and there are several boats on the water. In the background there are small hills covered in trees. This is Plate 10 from _Gardner's Photographic Sketchbook of the War_ (Hack Collection No. 50).
