DescriptionThis is a 'Mother and Child and Man Fishing' Pattern Teabowl (A) and Saucer (B). Each piece transfer-printed with a scene of a Chinese mother and child standing beside a pavilion with a man fishing from a boat beyond within an oval panel on the front and reverse of the teabowl or within a roundel in the center of the saucer surrounded by trellis diaper panels issuing a floral and foliate sprigs, and the rim of each edged in underglaze-blue.
