DescriptionThis is a 'Les Garçons Chinois' Pattern Teabowl (A) and Saucer (B). Printed on the front of the teabowl and in the center of the saucer with a scene by Robert Hancock in the manner of Jean Pillement depicting two chinoiserie figures climbing on a rococo scroll in a European river landscape, the reverse of the teabowl with a chinoserie figure dangling a ring from a pole and seated on a scroll beneath a hut, and the center of the interior with a swimming swan, each with a black enamel line around the interior rim.
