DescriptionThis is a carte de visite. The David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. A photograph taken at a minor angle of the gateway to George Washington's grave. The archway and pillars are made of brick and the gate is made of metal. There is a plaque above the archway. The picture shows a bit of grass leading up to the structure and trees branches frame the right side of the image. This is from _Gardner's Photographic Sketchbook of the War_ (Hack Collection No. 2].
