The Bradys, a Mormon rodeo family, display their desire to preserve a unique cultural tradition. As “rodeo queens,” women historically played an important but genderspecific part in the sport. This photograph demonstrates photographer Greta Pratt’s interest in the ways history and heritage are preserved and reinterpreted through contemporary costume, performance, and daily life.
