DescriptionThis is a color photograph that depicts the USNS Comfort, a white hospital ship marked with red crosses, passing under the Verrazano Bridge, as seen from Brooklyn, NY. Two onlookers are visible in the foreground and Staten Island can been seen in the background. The photograph was made on March 30, 2020, as the ship arrived in New York to help support city hospitals battling the coronavirus pandemic. The ship departed Naval Station Norfolk on March 28, 2020.
