DescriptionThe blown glass vessel Ambrosia by Carrie Gustafson is made of orange glass overlaying colorless glass; the orange is darker near the base and becomes lighter near the rim. The vessel’s form is a very wide oval that tapers to a narrow base; the mouth is a simple, small hole on the top surface of the vessel. The glass has an all-over sandblasted design of a connecting network of small, irregular ovals; the artist hand-cut the mask used to make the design.
