DescriptionThis large and hollow blown glass sculpture is a female figural bust. The glass elements rest on a flat aluminum base. The figure’s torso and shoulders are of translucent amber glass with vertical red stripes; a colorless glass arm and hand extends from the base and the fingers rest on the chest. The figure’s head is of translucent amber-brown and red glass with black hair.
ProvenanceThis artwork comes directly from the artist’s own archive of artworks in his New Hampshire studio. It was included in the Chrysler’s 2019–20 exhibition Dan Dailey: Character Sketch.
