DescriptionRounded cup of transparent colorless glass with very lightly engraved undulating motif of leaves, tendrils, and berries around side (berries are engraved deeper). Two thin gilded lines at the rim. Makers mark is lightly engraved at the top of a leaf so as to disappear into the design – stylized and difficult to transcribe (L I D, 2 with line across the top of ID2). Trunk is hollow and of light brownish-yellow glass with heavy applications of hot glass in ribbons along the foot edge and around knop at center of trunk/stem, and nine applied raspberry-style prunts applied in three alternating rows.ProvenanceFaith W.
