DescriptionTransparent colorless glass with thick gilded decoration. Small rounded cup is further shaped into four wide lobes; thick gilded line at rim, and below this the gilding extends downward in scrolling swags with cross-hatching and leaves. Two small seeds or imperfections in glass near bottom of bowl. Thin bulge of glass where bowl meets trunk, decorated with gilded band. Trunk consists of a very thin and delicate hollow stem that flares into a trumpet-shaped foot with a thin and thick band of gilding at edge. Shape is very similar to J&L Lobmeyer (Austrian, founded 1823; see CMoG 2001.3.54 ca. 1888; also enameled example by Moser ca. 1895 published elsewhere).ProvenanceFaith W. Nusbaum and Sidney L.
