DescriptionLarge cloisonne on copper jar and lid. One of a pair. JAR: Cloud motif around neck with petal lappets on shoulder. Central design of two peacocks amid flowering bushes. Tall petal lappets rising from foot. Ground of royal blue enamel. Design mostly of turquoise enamel with cream colored accents. Interior of jar & bottom are bare metal. Mouth of urn is bright green. Dark blue enamel somewhat deteriorated (many white speckles), otherwise good. LID: Flaring wavy lip. Dome shape. Circle of 'ru-i' beads in turquoise around a central rather flat conical finial.
