DescriptionOne of a pair of Imperial mazarine blue wide mouth ovoid temple jars, with original hat covers, having famille rose decor. Interior glazed robin's egg blue, exterior in mazarine blue with decoration, outlined in gilded slip and tinted in pastel colors, of pink lotus flowers with turquoise and yellow leafage in the water. The shoulder is hung with festoons of gilded beads. Lids tightly fasten onto jars; many flaws found in glazes. One jar (.2A) has a petal lacking glaze; .2B has whitish flaw in deep blue glaze on shoulder.
