DescriptionThis grouping of six photographs was made using old architectural books that contained reproductions of vintage postcards. Beardsley cut the postcards out of the books and then stitched “greenery” onto the pieces (Strange Plants, 8). These works all show scenes of historic locations in the Hampton Roads area, specifically Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
