DescriptionJun Ware wine jar. Heavily potted jar has bulbous body tapering to foot, 1.375" cylindrical neck and wide mouth. Glaze olive green at places with soft blue where glaze has collected at junction of neck and shoulders, at foot, and at places inside neck. Overall crackle of darker color; minute bubbles under surface of glaze give appearance of depth. Interior similarly glazed. Foot rim wide, base inset 5/8". Bottom glazed at places with both olive and blue colors. Red-brown body also in evidence.
