DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This black and white photograph shows the view of the Potomac Creek Bridge. The bottom left corner of the photograph appears to hold the most prominent area of the creek. There are two soldiers in the foreground. The bridge is positioned in the midground. The bridge connects two small hills. The horizontal axis of the bridge is made of metal and the supporting columns are constructed out of brick. Under the bridge, a group of soldiers are lined up. The scene appears to be winter since the surrounding landscape of trees and brush has no leaves. This is Plate 10 from _Gardner's Photographic Sketchbook of the War_ (Hack Collection No. 50).Label TextA. J.
