DescriptionWide cylindrical container has flat bottom of which half is unglazed. Body burned to light tan. Piece painted in famille jaune enamels of yellow, aubergine and green. Two rectangular scenes, one of a bird sitting on a rock watching insects around flowering branch and the other two swans and cygnets swimming in pond. Both have yellow sky area. Surrounding areas are filled with diaper pattern. Interior glazed, white.
Base with underglaze imperial mark reading “Da Qing Kangxinian zhi” (Made during the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty.
