DescriptionThis is a Heavy Ribs Reading Lamp shade (for base and finial, see 71.8125), which depicts a spider in his web. A bronze star-like figure surrounds the aperture and six "legs" extend from the points of the star to the middle of the shade. The web is in a geometric pattern of striated glass in shades of blue, green, white, purple, red and chartreuse.
