DescriptionThe platform of the bronze base of this "Flowering Lotus" lamp has a green patina and is formed by lily pads. A band of intertwined water lily vines and leaves is attached to the platform. Eleven sections of bronze tubing are clustered at the center of the platform. Ten of the tubes are curved and have light sockets. The remaining tube rises slightly higher than the others and ends with a circular shade support. The finial has two rows of holes and a conical top. The background of the shade is created by glass quadrangles of mottled blue and blue-green. Numerous red stems streaked with white and pastel green droop from the aperture. The shorter stems end with small, partially closed flowers with white petals and red-brown and green leaves. The longer stems extend to the large flowers of white, yellow, pink and red that form the irregular border. Eight small rectangular openings circle the aperture. The shade is waterfall shaped.
