DescriptionGelatin silver print depicting the Myers House passage below front hall.Label TextPassage Below, Myers House, ca. 1907 Gelatin silver print (photograph) Harry Mann created a series of photographs of the interior of the Moses Myers House around 1907, probably as part of his work for the Jamestown Exposition Photographic Corporation. At the time the house was still owned by the Myers family, serving as the private residence of Moses Myers’ great-grandson. Barton Myers (1853–1927) was a former Norfolk mayor and also a member of the Exposition’s Board of Governors. Thanks to then-recent restorations, the Myers House and its collection of antique furniture were points of pride for the city of Norfolk. These photographs offered rare windows onto a piece of local history otherwise inaccessible to the general public. Museum collection 0.1035 Exhibition History"Harry C.
