DescriptionThis intaglio-engraved vase is blown colorless lead-formula glass with selectively applied patches of amethyst and green. It is ovoid in shape with a broad projecting concave rim giving the overall profile of an alabastron. The body is intaglio engraved with lady's slipper; the concave rim is engraved with a series of cuts resembling planishing marks.
