DescriptionThis is a Worcester "Two Quails" pattern teabowl (A) and saucer (B) painted in underglaze blue and "clobbered" in iron-red and gilding with an insect hovering above a brace of quail walking amidst feathery plants within two bands of dots at the cafe-au-lait edged rim. The teabowl has the insect on the reverse and a shrubbery vignette in the center. Both are marked with underglaze blue crescent marks. The footrim of the teabowl has a chip.
