DescriptionThis is a Worcester large cabbage leaf dish press-molded as two overlapping leaves with pink midribs issuing from the crossed stems handle and shaded on the edges from pale green to pale yellow. The lower leaf has a pink shaded overturned tip. The dish is painted in an atmospheric style in the center with a girl wearing a yellow and rose dress and seated in a swing suspended between two green and brown leafy trees and being pulled with a rope held by her rose- and yellow-costumed male companion below, nearby a recumbent brown cow, a wooden fence, a meandering stream, and a distant Italianate building. There is some wear in the center and the rim has two restored chips.
