DescriptionThis is a Worcester cabbage leaf dish press-molded as two overlapping leaves with midribs issuing from the crossed-stems handle. The lower leaf has a curled-over tip. The dish is painted in shades of rose, yellow, iron-red, blue, purple, and green with a bouquet of a rose and yellow striated tulip and other flowers surrounded by a green beetle, a purple and blue butterfly, and scattered floral and foliate sprigs. There is slight wear and speckling in the center and the rim has small chips.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
