DescriptionThis is a Worcester "Two Peony Rock Bird" pattern shell-shaped sweetmeat dish molded as a fluted scallop shell and painted with an insect flitting above a songbird perched on a pierced rock amidst flowering peonies and other plants. The rim has four beribboned oriental devices and two leaf sprigs. There is a workman's mark in underglaze blue.
