DescriptionThe sugar bowl lid is topped by a finial in form of a rose sprig, attached beneath by a silver nut. Paired handles have ram's head attachments, with a center grape cluster and leaf, above a central ram ornament applied to the body. Concentric bands of applied borders repeat the motifs of the cream pitcher; from top to bottom the bands show pomegranates, basket weave, and pomegranates above four hairy talon on ball feet. Engraved initials within wreath, matching those of the cream pitcher: "MEM" and "BMM." Decorative elements match those of pitcher. Complete touch mark is struck on underside of body within a rectangle reads "ANTY. RASCH" with a horizontal-diagonal defect.
