DescriptionThis is a Worcester Arita-style plate painted in two shades of underglaze-blue, iron-red, green, puce yellow, and gilding in the center with a pair of phoenixes in flight above a jardiniere filled with peony and prunus branches on a fenced terrace. The rim has a border of pomegranates, peonies, and chrysanthemums growing above blue mounds within a blue line at the rolled edge.
