DescriptionChinese exportware vegetable dish and cover. Dish and cover are lobed at corners, each has wide borders of sepia and gilt designs intricately painted in a feather motif, hatch marks, and tiny gilt pendants. A similar, narrower band encircles central area with monogram "JSMCR" (2 on lid, one on dish) within an oval entwined with a vine. Base of dish inset, glazed and well defined.
